Angel Fur

I love making monster and children stories! I previously made a book of monster poems (I could probably try to upload it), and I've been meaning to write an anthology of short stories for more. I decided to use this opportunity to test the waters a bit, and created a VN featuring the self-proclaimed angel, ObO.

This is the very first sketch I ever made of them! ObO started as just a random doodle in my sketchbook of monster designs until one day, I got the idea for this:

Because of it, I solidified to myself the idea that ObO is a companion to forgotten and lonely kids. And the lore continued to build until it became this:

ObO, a sound more than a word. It's a monster that wants to be a savior. It realized while working on scaring children that, hey, a lot of them already have it rough. Making them cry was not the achievement it was looking for. It had too big a heart and started talking itself into becoming an angel instead (it actually hates real angels because it thinks they are unworthy of their titles).

It began collecting sad children and would bring them to an unusual but warm, safe, and fun home to raise.

Unbeknownst to them, what happens when they choose to leave is that only their soul gets to travel with ObO. They die in their world and become just a crumpled body left behind. Once they become happy enough, their souls begin to fade and will turn into light. ObO is sad to see them leave and mourns them by collecting some of their glow inside its orifices to use as its light.
